Condition:

This Conway Stewart 85L in two tone blue 'cracked ice' comes from the post war mid 1950s, a stretch when the company was producing some of its most confident designs, and the 85L is widely regarded as one of the larger and more impressive pens in the lineup. The vibrant blue tones catch the eye right away, and the pen is in very nice condition with no cracks or personalization. The cap jewel has a deep black shine, and both the clip and lever carry the classic CS medallion that collectors recognize at a glance. The barrel imprint remains clean and easy to read, and the broad 14Ct nib shows crisp markings that suit its bold writing style. On paper it delivers a wide, steady line that feels made for signatures and expressive notes. The pen has been cleaned, fitted with a fresh ink sac, and ink tested, so it is ready for use the moment it arrives. And if the swirling blue marble reminds you of a tiny galaxy, just imagine the pen quietly charting its next cosmic detour.
