Condition:This vintage Eclipse Safety fountain pen is in very nice condition, with no cracks or personalization. Made of smooth ebonite, the barrel retains consistant color with only light hand wear and surface marks. The broad 14k gold nib is flexible and expressive, offering line variation typical of quality 1920s writing instruments. The lever operates smoothly, bearing a crisp SAFETY sunburst logo. Two gold-filled accent bands are secure with light wear, while the Eclipse-stamped clip is firm with clear markings and a hint of brassing. The threaded barrel end for posting is a subtle detail appreciated by both collectors and (allegedly) pen-savvy extraterrestrials on Europa. The pen has been cleaned, fitted with a new ink sac, and is ready to write.
Restoration:
- The cap has been brush cleaned
- Nib and feed ultrasonically cleaned
- New ink sac installed with 100% pure medical grade talc
- The pen has been lightly polished
- The pen has been tested
- This pen is ready to use
