Condition:

This early-model Esterbrook Dollar Pen, is crafted from black ebonite rather than the later injected resin versions more commonly seen. This hard rubber variant is among the earliest produced and a standout piece for collectors of pre-WWII American fountain pens. The pen is in overall very good condition with just a hint of color variation and no cracks or personalization. The clip is firm and the barrel imprint is clear and readable. It’s fitted with a Renew Point 2788 described by Esterbrook as a “flexible medium” nib, perfect for everything from classic cursive to interplanetary correspondence. The pen has been cleaned, a fresh ink sac installed, its been tested and it's ready to use. This early model dollar pen is an overall lovely pen. Fun fact: Esterbrook’s interchangeable nib system allowed users to select from dozens of writing styles without buying a new pen, an innovation so clever, it seems extraterrestrial!
