This is a preowned, vintage, authentic first generation Ronson Penciliter manufactured in the USA between 1934 and 1948. This version is considered the least common version of the first generation models and is highly sought after. It is an Art Deco combination piece that integrates a mechanical pencil with a one motion petrol lighter. Overall length is approximately 5 5/8" long. This early version features the iconic pearl green marbled celluloid writing grip with subtle gold flecks, paired with a chrome plated body decorated with an engraved wavy line pattern that looks ready to chart courses to the moon rather than grocery lists.

Unlike later streamlined versions, this first generation model uses a friction fit lighter unit that pulls straight out for refilling and a twist action pencil mechanism designed for 1.1 mm thick leads. The pencil advances and retracts the lead properly. The lighter has not been tested and is offered in as is condition, suitable for display whether on a desk or imagined at the control panel of an Art Deco era rocket ship.

The piece is marked with original patent information, U.S. Patent No. 92,996, located beneath the lighter snuffer. The vintage Ronson box is included and is in vintage user grade condition, it has tape on the exterior holding the two rear corners together. This example represents a highly sought after collectible for enthusiasts of tobacciana and vintage writing instruments.
