Condition:
The famed industrial designer Henry Dreyfuss's innovative and iconic "streamlined' fountain pen and pencil.
The pen is in overall very nice condition with its original marketing sticker, a rich black coloring and no cracks or personalization. The barrel has some very light wear and micro surface scratches. The presentation ncap and derby are in nice condition with some typical light surface scratches. The clip fits nicely on the derby and is in good condition. The pen has been fully disassembled, the breather tube has been cleaned, reinstalled and a new, properly tapered ink sac has been installed. If the breather tube isn't installed, the pen will not fill or function as designed. The pen has been ink tested. The pencil is also in overall very nice condition with its original marketing sticker, similar rich black coloring and no cracks or personalization. The barrel has similar very light wear and micro surface scratches. The cap is also in nice condition with some typical light surface scratches. The lead advances when the cap is pressed. There is a vintage eraser with some wear, as shown. The pencil is loaded with lead and is ready to write.
Restoration Work:
- The pen has been completely disassembled
- Cap has been soft brush cleaned
- Nib and section have been ultrasonically cleaned
- The breather tube has been throughly cleaned and reinstalled
- New tapered ink sac installed with 100% pure medical grade talcum powder
- The pen has been tested
