Condition:

This early Parker 51 Aerometric, dating from approximately 1948 to 1952, is a fine example of mid-century American design and engineering. Finished in rich burgundy with a shiny Lustaloy cap, black cap jewel, and the classic Parker arrow clip, this pen carries all the hallmarks of the early Aerometric models. The barrel and cap show some light micro surface scratches consistent with careful use, but overall, the pen remains in lovely condition. There are no cracks or personalization, it’s the kind of pen that might have been left behind at Roswell, if aliens had a taste for fine American fountain pens.  The 14k gold nib is a very fine point, ideal for everyday writing or light-duty interstellar communication. The pen has been fully disassembled, ultrasonically cleaned, and ink-tested.  This classic pen fills great and it's ready to use upon landing.

Restoration Work:

  • Nib, feed and breather tube have been ultrasonically cleaned

A photo of the ink test is provided for reference.
