Condition:
Parker “51” twist mechanical pencil, measuring 5 1/4 inches long, finished in the desirable Cedar Blue barrel and fitted with a 1/10 16K gold-filled lined cap marked “Made in U.S.A.” This pencil dates to the late 1940s to 1950s and was originally sold as the matching companion to the iconic Parker 51 fountain pen, sharing the same streamlined design and exceptional build quality. The pearly cap jewel is original, firmly seated, and free of chips.
Condition is very good vintage overall, with light surface scratches on the barrel, cone, and cap, but no dents or dings. The twist mechanism advances and retracts the lead properly. The eraser is not present. All markings are clear, the cap lines remain crisp, and the pencil presents attractively in hand.
Gold-filled lined caps are among the more desirable Parker 51 pencil variations, and the Cedar Blue color is a longtime collector favorite.
