The pen and pencil are in overall good condition with the pencil being a slight shade lighter then the pen, there are no cracks or personalization. The 14k gold filled cap and the barrel have some light surface scratches and small dings. The clip is firm and in nice condition with a few micro surface scratches, the cap jewel is firm and in good condition with no chips. The pen has been cleaned, a new diaphragm installed, it has been ink and water tested.  The pen fills nicely.  The pencil's cap and barrel have some minor surface scratches and small dings.  The pencil advances the lead with the click advance mechanism, as designed.  There is a vintage eraser in the pencil.  The case is in vintage condition with wear, old sticker residue, and light staining.


Restoration Work:

  • The pen cap has been brush cleaned
  • Nib and feed unit have been ultrasonically cleaned
  • A new diaphragm has been installed
  • Threads properly sealed
  • The pen and pencil have been lightly polished
  • The pen has been ink and water tested
  • Pencil has lead
  • This pen is ready for use and the pencil is ready to write

    Fine - The unique Parker 51 hooded osmiridium plathenium nib is in good condition with ample tipping material, as shown.  The nib produced a nice fine line with good ink flow during its ink test. A photograph of the test is provided for reference.
