This Parker Vacumatic mechanical pencil dates from the mid-1930s and features a vibrant striated burgundy pearl finish. It measures 4 7/8" long and carries the iconic Art Deco arrow clip (1933-1937). The pencil has a matching screw-in domed cap jewel, free from cracks, and three small barrel rings. The barrel imprint has clear lettering, there is no date. Lead advances and retracts smoothly via the twist mechanism, and the pencil has an internal Parker lead holder with an eraser, the original eraser is mostly worn but intact. There are no personalizations on the pencil, and it presents very well in lovely cosmetic condition. This design embodies Parker’s attention to both style and utility, combining the Vacumatic aesthetic with a practical twist-to-advance lead holder.
