Condition:
This Parker Vacumatic mechanical pencil dates from the mid-1930s and features a vibrant striated burgundy pearl finish. It measures 4 1/2" long and carries the iconic Art Deco arrow clip (1933-1937). The pencil has a matching screw-in domed cap jewel, free from cracks, and three small barrel rings. The gold filled clip and triple caps rings show some wear. The barrel imprint has clear lettering, there is no date. Lead advances and retracts smoothly via the twist mechanism, and the pencil has an internal Parker lead holder with an eraser, the original eraser is worn but intact. There is a script name personalizations on the pencil, and it presents very well in lovely cosmetic condition. This design embodies Parker’s attention to both style and utility, combining the Vacumatic aesthetic with a practical twist-to-advance lead holder. If pens and pencils had a solar system, this one would orbit the Art Deco galaxy, quietly twirling its burgundy pearl stripes like a miniature planet of precision. This pencil is loaded with lead and ready to use on landing.
