Condition:                        
This early Sheaffer Balance is in nice overall condition with the pearl and black color pattern, there is some typical darkening of the pearl color on the cap and barrel, there are no cracks or personalizations.   The cap and barrel have some light surface scratches, the cap has a couple of small marks. The barrel imprint is clear and readable, as shown.  The clip is firm with the first year 'hump' clip is in lovely condition.  The cap band and lever are also in nice condition with just a bit of wear on the band. There is a red dot on the end of the barrel, as shown.  The pen has been cleaned, a new ink sac has been installed, it has been water and ink tested, this pen is ready to write.

Nib and feed have been ultrasonically cleaned 
A new ink sac has been installed with 100% pure medical grade talc
The pen has been lightly polished
The pen has been water and ink tested
