Sheaffer Oversized Balance Fountain Pen - Jet Black

This oversized Balance pen is in overall nice condition.  The barrel and cap have a consistent jet black color, there is no personalization or cracks. The cap and barrel have some light surface scratches, the barrel imprint is clear and readable.  The clip is firm, the clip has lost about half of its plating, as shown.  The cap band and lever, are both in good condition with just a bit of wear, as shown. The feed comb is missing a few fins at the base.  The pen has been cleaned, a new ink sac installed and it has been ink tested.  This pen has been restored and it's ready to be a workhorse writer.

  • A new ink sac has been installed with 100% pure medical grade talc
  • The pen has been lightly polished

    Broad -  The 14k Sheaffer Lifetime nib is in excellent condition. This very large nib has crisp imprints and ample tipping material.  The pen has been ink tested and the nib provided a smooth broad line, this pen was a joy for me to write with and a hard one not to keep!  The nib was on the wetter side and is a great writer.  A photo of the ink test has been provided for reference.
