Condition:This Sheaffer Snorkel fountain pen is in overall very nice condition. The classic Statesman is fitted with a triumph palladium silver alloy nib (PdAg) and features a gold filled clip, a three eighths inch wide gold filled cap band, and the iconic 'white dot'. The cap and barrel show light micro surface scratches. The clip is firm, and both the clip and the cap band are in attractive condition. The barrel imprint is clear and readable. During testing I briefly wondered if the triumph nib was channeling messages from passing extraterrestrials, but no alien interference was detected. Just a well made Sheaffer performing exactly as expected. The pen has been cleaned and fitted with a new ink sac, a new o ring, and a new point seal. It has been tested and fills nicely. The pen is ready for ink and your next writing adventure.
Restoration Work:
- The cap has been brush cleaned
- The nib and section have been ultrasonically cleaned
- New ink sac installed
- New barrel o-ring installed
- New point seal installed
- The pen has been tested
- This pen is ready for use
