Condition:This vintage Venus Autograph fountain pen, made by the American Pencil Co. in Hoboken, NJ, dates to the 1940s and measures 5 1/4" capped. The pen features a striking blue, pearl, and black striated celluloid body with a matching cap and a solid black dome cap top. Trim consists of a gold-plated straight clip and lever, both in very good condition with only a hint of wear. The barrel is clearly imprinted with the original maker’s mark, attesting to its well-preserved condition. The cap and barrel show only light surface wear, with no cracks or personalization. There is a slight spread at the lever slot, a common occurance in some vintage lever fillers, which does not affect function. The pen has been cleaned and a new ink sac has been installed - the pen is ready to write. Whether you’re penning poetry, grading papers, or communicating with polite extraterrestrials from a parallel bureaucracy, this Venus is ready for the mission.
