Description:This 1920s Waterman red ripple pencil is in lovely condition, with vibrant and consistent color throughout, the kind of deep red that looks like it could have been sampled from the surface of a distant red planet. There is a hint of handwear on the body of the pencil, consistent with age and use. The gold filled ring top and cap band are in good condition with minimal wear, while the cone shows some brassing. The Waterman name and patent pending date imprints on the end are partially legible. The pencil is loaded, and the 1.18mm lead advances smoothly. This 1920s style pencil does not retract the lead, as it was designed as a lead holder.
